Forgive me, friends and family, for losing my course on this blog. It's been so long ago that I can't remember why I stopped posting, but, I did not stop pursuing the topic, in fact, I have been intimately involved in researching, studying and writing on the subject of "God and Government" which is a book series by Gary DeMar of American Vision ministry. I just stopped posting on this blog. I guess it was a time management thing. What a mistake. I'm going to try and start again.....
Suffice it to say that the major revelation during this seven months regarding the subject is the following;
Jesus is Sovereign and man must practice self-control (2 Peter 1) in order to have a trustworthy government; whether it's government of a man's private life, family life, work, church, county, city, state or national government. The Founding Fathers understood this and instilled it into the governing documents and bodies of our incredible experiment. But, we have lost this maxim and most of our institutions, starting with man's personal life, have lost focus on God as Sovereign, therefore, losing control of self-government and following after the sin nature vs the spiritual nature. We are a slave to sin, again.
Father, forgive us and bring us back to You!!! Enliven us to desire to search your Word for our redeemed lives.
