Joyful in all things.....

Ok, here we go, Father. I am joyful in all things, giving praises and thanksgiving for your glory, Father. I must trust in You. What happened?

Touched by Grace Ministry, chose another ‘candidate’ to conduct their golf tourney. I was shocked, quite honestly, but, not anywhere near as frustrated as I thought I would have been. Yes, surprised and disappointed, but, I thought of you and your will and your providence and your ‘all things happen to the good for those who love God and are called according to His purposes.’

Romans 8:28 (New International Version)

More Than Conquerors

28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,who have been called according to his purpose.

Once again to look at this verse…. ‘in all things God works for the good of those who love him’. I LOVE Him, so I qualify. God is working for the good of those who love Him. ‘In all things’ God works for MY good. So, in my not getting the Touched by Grace Ministry golf tourney, God is working for my good. And ‘who have been called according to his purpose’. What is His purpose? That we would glorify Him. That we would love Him and our neighbors as ourselves. That we would believe in Jesus Christ and obey His commands. What are His commands?

1 John 3

23b because we obey his commands and do what pleases him. 23And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.

Again, and again, and again………… thank you. I love you and trust you and will obey you. Please strengthen my faith in you, enliven our ministry, protect our family, fulfill our financial commitments and secure our future for your purposes, for your glory, for your kingdom. Amen.

“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!”- Philippians 2:5-8

Romans 7

21So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22For in my inner being I delight in God's law; 23but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. 24What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? 25Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

THIS IS WHY WE NEED JESUS CHRIST AS OUR SAVIOR, OUR PROPITIATOR….
